This is a piece of participatory action research with young people and rural women to gather stories, evidence, analysis and perspectives of public policies and governance as they relate to rural livelihoods and addressing climate change and will contribute to ActionAid’s research and influencing focus in 2019.
You will have demonstrable expertise on women’s rights and experience in conducting participatory research and an interest in supporting sustainable livelihoods for women and young people in rural communities which also have a positive effect on climate change. You will be expected to cost the project and design methodology and tools for this participatory action research and provide support to each country remotely. You will be responsible for consolidating local country findings (from up to 10 countries) and observations into a cohesive report on key findings and implications for the different countries and run a webinar for the platform and partners to best understand what has emerged.
Extensive experience in managing and coordinating evaluation/research exercises is essential including with or through country-based partners and delivering agreed outputs on time and on budget. You will be able to write high quality, clear concise reports and have a passion for work that will make a difference to women’s lives.
