About the Project:

The Health Pooled Fund is supported to run until 2023 by the British Government’s Department for International Development (DFID), the Government of Canada, the Swedish International Development and Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and United States Agency for International Development (USAID). A consortium led by Crown Agents is responsible for managing and implementing HPF.

The programme impact will be an improved health and nutrition status for the population that saves lives and reduces morbidity including maternal, infant and under-5 mortality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Will be responsible for leading the Community Health Team (2 community engagement specialists comprised of two technical specialists providing them with strategic guidance and quality assuring their work
  • Will provide lead the implementation of HPF3 Community Health Worker strategy, known locally as the Boma Health Initiative (BHI)
  • Working closely with the MoH and donor community, the CHM will input into the BHI TWG ensuring that policy and implementation align
  • Overall responsibility for the development and implementation of the Boma Health Initiative work plan, ensuring quality outputs and timely completion of programme deliverables
  • Lead the community health teams work planning and budgeting and ensure that an up-to-date workplan and budget are in place at all times.

You need to have:

  • At least 10 years’ working experience in the community health field
  • MSc in International Public Health, Health Services Management or any Health related field is desirable
  • Experience of working in the South Sudan health sector, with a good understanding of the stakeholder landscape
  • Proven experience in community health and service delivery in South Sudan
  • Solid experience developing accurately costed workplans and monitoring budgets
  • Computer literate: must be able to use Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook proficiently

Language:

  • Excellent English
