Vacancy: LIFT Social Enterprise Technical Advisor
The Organization
ActionAid is an international organisation, working with over 25 million people in more than 40 countries for a world free from poverty and injustice. ActionAid in Myanmar is part of the ActionAid International Federation and is one of ActionAid’s programmes.
Background
With initial LIFT funding SEDN undertook a successful training and referral program and started up a social enterprise, MBoutik. LIFT funded a Phase 2 of the project, to operate from March 2017 to Feb 2019 with a focus on building the sustainability of the business. The requirement of Social Enterprise technical advisor consultant was named mentioned in the project proposal and funds approved under the project extension budget for this consultancy to be undertaken in the timeframe nominated in Section 5.
Objective of the consultancy:
Ensuring the completion and reporting on LIFT Phase 2 in building MBoutik’s business sustainability.
Expected Output
Draft LIFT 2018 and 2019 annual report
MOU for the transition of assets between AAM & MBoutik
Review the MBoutik Policy & Procedures including new PD’s under new company
Assist in transition from AAM to MBoutik Ltd Gty systems
Assist in preparation for LIFT external evaluation
Draft & review final LIFT report
Duration or Timeframe of the consultancy
A total of 4 calendar weeks (except from public holidays in Myanmar) from 1st April 2019 to 5th May 2019
Management/Reporting
The Consultant will direct report to Social Enterprise Lead and Head of Innovation and Partnership, ActionAid Myanmar
Requirement
· At least 7 years equivalent experience in programme management in NGO sector
· Extensive experience in managing a business or social enterprise and understanding of core business principles
· Knowledge of market analysis and key marketing strategies with proof of success in previous experience
· Demonstrated high level experience in effective engagement across sectors: local government, private business and donors; with a clearly articulated understanding of drivers for collaboration with each sector.
